This location needs a Consultant Urologist to provide leave cover for a fixed-term period of up to 12 months. Ideally, the position will commence in January 2021, but there is flexibility on this as more than one candidate may be needed to cover this role due to the start date coming up very soon.
The position is based in the larger hospital in the region with some travel to one of the other smaller more rural hospitals in the region, on a rostered basis.
Although it is a full-time role, the position can be adjusted to meet preferred hours of the right candidate/s. Please note that after-hours on-call roster participation is required; (usually 1:4.). Supervision and teaching of resident medical officers within the urology service is also required.
All applicants must be eligible for vocational registration in Urology (or special purpose locum tenens) with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
This is a great location to be based to get the best of both worlds – the beauty and the outdoors of NZ that you expect and it’s just a hop skip and a jump to the big city.
Relocation package to be negotiated.
Salary and package to be discussed, but will be as per the NZ MECA agreement.
