Medical Specialty: Internal Medicine

This location is seeking a General Medicine Physician, with or without subspecialty interest or qualification. This hospital practices undifferentiated internal medicine with a 38-bed medical ward and a 6-bed critical care unit. Sub-specialist support is provided predominantly by a larger base hospital around 200kms away. There are smaller regional towns also supported by this location. You would be joining a young, dynamic team of 7 physicians sharing equally in the acute roster, providing inpatient and outpatient services.

For physicians who are dual trained, there is opportunity to accommodate ongoing sub-speciality practice. There is opportunity to participate in the departmental teaching programme, which amounts to 4 hours each week this location has close links to a local university. This location offers an attractive annual salary package based on skills and experience and an attractive relocation package. The region is very popular with people of all ages, with nearby access to national parks, ski fields just around the corner and the community is very welcoming.
