Consultant Plastic Surgeon (12 months fixed term) – North Island, New Zealand.
About the role:
This position would suit a generally trained plastic surgeon with subspecialty interests of hand, skin cancer, melanoma, and breast being useful.
This role will also have a commitment to a general plastic trauma list and will contribute to ‘see and treat’ skin lesion clinics. There will be a general plastic surgery on-call commitment equating to 1:10 currently.
We have an internationally renowned plastic and burns unit, regional rheumatology, and public health services, and all our specialties have a strong focus on excellence and innovation.
About you:
Vocationally registered in plastic and reconstructive surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
FRACS or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
Minimum of 2 years’ consultant experience
Be able to demonstrate collegial working relationships with a multi-disciplinary team
Requirements
Note that you must meet the NZ Immigration requirements and be registered, or eligible to obtain registration with the NZ Medical Council.
