An exciting 12-month fixed term contract that offers the perfect blend of professional opportunity and lifestyle richness in New Zealand’s largest and most multi-cultural cities. This role provides Anaesthetic care to around 6500 births annually. With labour epidurals for over 60% of births and a 40% caesarean rate. Also, home to the largest gynaecological cancer centre, providing care regional to around 2.3 million people.
As well as elective and emergency work across the Women’s Health Department of Anaesthesia, you will also take part in acute pain rounds, high risk clinics as well as provision of on-call services; the role can be expanded to accommodate those with an interest in pain management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience and expertise in Anaesthesiology
Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Anaesthesiology
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Anaesthesiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Health New Zealand has a Collective Employment Agreement in place across all their Districts offering:
Annual leave: 6 weeks
CME Allowance and Leave – $16,000/2 weeks
$185,000 – $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
Reimbursement of APC, college membership, and indemnity insurance.
