Join Te Whatu Ora Taranaki’s Rural Hospital and Emergency Medicine team at Hāwera Hospital, providing comprehensive emergency and inpatient care to the South Taranaki community.
Work across a busy rural ED and inpatient service, managing a broad and varied caseload that includes acute presentations, trauma, medical admissions, and rural generalist medicine.
Supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team, on-site diagnostics, and specialist retrieval pathways to Taranaki Base Hospital and tertiary services when required.
Hāwera offers an affordable lifestyle in the heart of South Taranaki, with black-sand surf beaches, the stunning backdrop of Mt Taranaki, and easy access to hiking, fishing, cycling, and a welcoming rural community.
Base salary range: NZ$198,386 – NZ$282,645 (0.7 FTE, on call and job size on top)
- 6 weeks annual leave
- Generous CME leave and funding (currently up to NZ$18,000 per annum under the collective agreement)
- Relocation assistance: flights, accommodation, vehicle, freight
