🩺 The Opportunity
We are seeking a Thoracic Surgeon to join our healthcare team in St. John’, NL. This is an opportunity to build a deeply meaningful, diverse, and rewarding practice, including:
· Collaboration with the Thoracic Surgery and Respiratory Division
· A comprehensive clinical workload focused on inpatient surgical care, including consultations, operative procedures, and follow-up management
· Provision of outpatient services through Ambulatory Care Clinics
· Shared on-call responsibilities with colleagues in the Division of Thoracic Surgery and the Respiratory Division
🎓 Qualifications
To be considered, you must:
· Hold a Medical Degree (MD)
· Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)
· Certification by the Royal College Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification in General Surgery (or equivalent) and subspecialty in Thoracic surgery
· Satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services, including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
· Demonstrate a strong record of professionalism, collaboration, and patient care
🌍 International applicants are welcome!
Expedited licensure pathways may be available for individuals who have completed their postgraduate training program in the United States and hold current American Board Certification in their respective discipline.
New licensure pathways are available for physicians trained in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

💵 Compensation
Remuneration is competitive and provided through an Alternate Payment Plan (APP).
