A leading government-affiliated healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant Maternal–Fetal Medicine Specialist to join its tertiary women’s health service. The role focuses on managing high-risk, complex pregnancies in a well-resourced, consultant-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant-level Maternal–Fetal Medicine care for high-risk pregnancies
  • Manage maternal medical conditions impacting pregnancy
  • Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasound and fetal surveillance (where accredited)
  • Deliver fetal medicine consultations and multidisciplinary counselling
  • Support labour ward teams for high-risk deliveries
  • Work closely with obstetrics, neonatology, anaesthetics, genetics, and medical subspecialties
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and service development

Essential Requirements

  • Board-certified / specialist-registered Consultant in Maternal–Fetal Medicine or O&G with recognised MFM subspecialty training
  • Eligibility for Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) Consultant licensure
  • Minimum 3 years’ consultant-level experience in MFM
  • Strong experience in high-risk obstetrics
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
