👨⚕️ Consultant Role – General Surgery (Special Interest in Paediatric Surgery)
📍 Limerick, Ireland
The Role
The Consultant will play a key role in:
-Providing consultant-level surgical care across general surgery, with a focus on paediatric patients
-Delivering elective and emergency surgical services
-Participating in on-call and departmental rotas
-Supporting service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives
-Collaborating with paediatricians, anaesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
-Teaching and mentoring NCHDs, trainees, and junior colleagues
💰 Consultant Salary & Benefits
€235,000+ – €283,000+ (2026 HSE Public Only Consultant Contract)

✅ Eligibility
Applicants must have:
Registration in the Specialist Division of Irish Medical Council (in process or active)
One-year certified postgraduate fellowship training in Paediatric Surgery
3+ years experience
