Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist
The role:
-Delivering specialist paediatric ophthalmology services within a high-volume private setting
-Providing expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of paediatric eye conditions
-Performing a broad range of ophthalmic procedures and surgeries
-Utilising orthoptic services for paediatric patients (aged 1 year and above) as part of comprehensive care
-Supporting and contributing to a private 24-hour ophthalmic casualty service
-Contributing to service development, innovation, and clinical excellence
Collaborating with orthoptists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise
Salary & Benefits
-€150,000 basic salary
-Excellent bonus structure (potential to earn up to €500k)
-Medical indemnity provided

Working Pattern
-Typically a flexible weekly split depending on the consultant
-Usually 3 clinic days and 2 theatre days
Eligibility
Suitable applicants may hold:
-Fellowship in Paediatric ophthalmology
-UK CCT, EU Specialist qualification, or equivalent international certification
-American Board, Canadian, Australian, or New Zealand Fellowship
-Eligibility for Irish Medical Council Specialist Registration is required
