This opportunity offers the chance to join a close-knit and highly collaborative rural team, currently made up of two General Practitioners, four Registered Nurses, a Health Coach specialising in lifestyle and preventative care, and a Health Improvement Practitioner focused on mental health support, all backed by experienced administrative and operational staff. Together, this team allows you to provide genuinely holistic, relationship-based care, with the time and support needed to build strong continuity of care with your patients.
The patient population reflects the heart of rural New Zealand with a large elderly demographic alongside farming families and younger patients from surrounding districts. GPs generally see around 20 patients per day, creating the space for meaningful consultations, preventative care, and long-term therapeutic relationships. After-hours care is shared fairly within the practice during the week, with weekend cover shared alongside the other local practice.
