- Typically 4 shifts per week/80 per fortnight
- Morning and afternoon shifts
- Night call with afternoon shifts
- 120 patients per day
- 10% minor trauma, 5% geriatric, 15% ortho, 3% pediatric, and acute medical/surgery
- About 200 severe trauma cases per year
- Mid-sized city with lots of outdoor activities
- Mild winters and pleasant summers
- Most assignments provide housing, travel and transportation
- Licensing/Registration and immigration assistance
