About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art department supported by a highly effective emergency department team.
A mixed adult/paediatric urban district ED seeing 47,000 patients per year with an admission rate of 24 – 25% and supported by a 16-bed Assessment and Planning Unit, as well as excellent medical and surgical teams.
Committed to clinical excellence in all disciplines; Senior Medical Staff are encouraged to take part in clinical audits and peer reviews to ensure quality clinical care is provided.
The position is flexible offering a fixed-term appointment or locum work.
The role calls for:
Vocationally registered in Emergency Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
FACEM or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration or Locum Tenens registration with the MCNZ
Relevant experience and training
If applying from overseas, you must meet the New Zealand Immigration Service requirements.
Note that we have an in-house registration specialist who can assist you to obtain registration if required.
