About The Island

Saipan is a lush tropical island located just north of Guam in the Western Pacific Ocean.  Saipan is the largest and most populated of the Northern Mariana Islands.  Together the islands make up the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). About the Hospital

The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) is a 86-bed hospital with outpatient clinics and a dialysis center.  CHCC serves a population of approx. 50,000 people and offers a broad range of services and specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Podiatry, Oncology, Inpatient and Outpatient Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, and of course Obstetrics and Gynecology.

About the Department

We have a culturally diverse patient population, including patients from the Pacific Islands, Philippines, China, Korea, Japan, Russia, Bangladesh and the U.S. Mainland.

Schedule: 8 hrs/day, 5 days a week.

If scheduling allows, the clinic may expand its hours to limited evenings and weekends.
In such case, the provider schedule will be adjusted to provide 80 hrs every two weeks of duty time.
Clinic visits are scheduled as half hour or one hour visits to provide time to address multiple issues in depth.  NO quotas or production targets… Take the time you need to provide great care and research current practice guidelines.  The buck stops here; we have to do it right.
Salary: $218,000 P/A (equivalent to that of a $330K salary in San Francisco and New York)

Completion of U.S or Canadian OB/GYN Residency Program
Board Certified or eligible
BLS/ACLS required
Must have an NPI and be Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement eligible
CNMI License required (we will assist with application process). Licensing and credentialing take approx. 6-8 weeks.


$10,000 Signing Bonus for 2-year contracts
Malpractice coverage is provided under the Tort Claims act
Annual Leave: Eight (8) hours per pay period (26 pay periods/yr), on a full-time Employment Contract
Sick Leave: Four (4) hours per pay period
Up to 5 days of paid leave for CME
