Dr. Julia Rubin-Smith is a pediatrician who has created a career in Global Health – fusing her interests in Public Health and clinical care. Her interests have led to research opportunities and clinical care in Peru, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and most recently, Albania.
She currently holds an academic position at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she works clinically, and focuses her academic time on global health projects. Earlier in 2021, she worked on a Joint WHO Albanian Institute of Public Health Vaccine Effectiveness study.

Dr. Ashwini Bapat is a palliative care physician who attended medical school at Tufts University and completed residency and fellowship training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She resides in Portugal and provides clinical care through telemedicine.
